People buy art not only because of its visual appeal but because of the emotional connection they have with the artist's story, mission, and message. This section helps foster that connection.

About us
Gull Island Art Place
Welcome to our carefully curated online gallery
Welcome to Gull Island! I’m Lisa, the woman behind this artistic voyage. I was born and raised on the South Carolina coast. Building sandcastles was my playground. With a passion for art, coupled with my extensive background in art consulting and art direction, I have dedicated this space to curating a coastal collection with a few captivating artists that I call friends. At Gull Island, inspiration awaits, and I am delighted that you have found your way to our shores with tales of creativity & texture.
Purpose & Vision
My work is an exploration of the complex, often contradictory nature of human emotion. Through bold brushstrokes and vivid colors, I seek to capture the raw beauty and intensity of the internal landscapes that shape our lives. My paintings are not simply visual representations—they are emotional experiences meant to evoke thought, empathy, and self-reflection.

Underwater Sealife
Dive into the sea and meet the sealife by Cecile Broz. Her underwater world of whales and octopus are funtasitical. And, of course where the sea goes so does the seagull.
Finding the sun seems to be her mission for the canvas. Follow Mayte as she captures the play of light on boats, marshes, boats, and of course the seagull. Enjoy the atmospheric paintings.
A subject appears in the blink of an eye, on every coast, and in every boat yard. Allison has traveled the world painting Plein air. Listen to the stories of the sea as her boats tell the journey in paintings.
Sometimes you only need a burst of color to change the dynamic of a room. Leave it to Taylor to make it happen. Her color mixture gets personal as she creates her own unique selection.
The art we collect is part of the creative communities we make. Ann sets out to find the light on the golf course. With canvas, brush and paint, she captures the rolling shadows of a sunset.
